Asda’s current store model is now, on average, 38% more energy efficient than a typical Asda store built in 2005.

We are constantly looking for ways to further reduce the amount of energy and other resources we consume and to limit our waste. As a result, we are continually trialling sustainable materials and features in our build programme.

However, sustainable development is about more than environmental concerns. We have a flexible approach to development and aim to design stores that complement the areas in which they are situated while fulfilling the expectations of our customers.

The majority of our stores are located in town centres, district centres or on the edge of centres. We have experience in delivering all types of development, from standalone stores to mixed use regeneration projects.
